The story follows a young novelist who becomes infatuated with a striking blond woman trapped in a marriage to a violent, controlling husband. As she contemplates an ‘accidental’ death to escape, he refuses to act, and they part ways. Yet she remains obsessed, unwilling to let the affair end.
