America Lost is a documentary exploring the struggles of life in Youngstown, Ohio; Memphis, Tennessee; and Stockton, California. Through emotional personal stories and thoughtful commentary, the film examines the decline of America's interior. Filmmaker Christopher F. Rufo spent five years documenting the lives of residents facing difficult circumstances, including a former steelworker, a recently incarcerated father, and a single mother seeking a better future. Despite these challenges, the film offers a hopeful look at rebuilding families and communities.
