Originally a 342‑minute five‑part television miniseries later cut to 280 minutes. In part 1 the apostles call Jerusalem’s pilgrims to baptism; Peter and John are briefly arrested by the Sanhedrin. Part 2 shows Stephen’s martyrdom, Philip baptizing an Ethiopian eunuch, and Saul’s blinding on the road to Damascus. Part 3 follows Peter baptizing a centurion, Saul becoming Paul and beginning his mission, preaching equality of circumcised and uncircumcised, then his arrest in Jerusalem and trial in Rome.
