After a luxury liner sinks, the ship’s officer is forced to steer a lifeboat meant for nine but overloaded with more than twenty wounded survivors. With a hurricane bearing down and supplies dwindling, he must decide which of the 14 desperate passengers will stay aboard and which will be cast overboard to give the others a chance to survive.
