After averting a mutiny, they reach Mars, where they find an advanced society free of disease, sorrow, violence, sexual urges, and fear of death. Avanti falls for Marya, the Prince of Wisdom’s daughter, and she chooses to return with him to share Martian enlightenment with Earth.
