In present‑day Istanbul, Selim, early forties, runs a modest men’s clothing shop. He lives with wife Ayla, young daughter Esma and his elderly father in a flat, known for honesty and frugality. Widow neighbor Nihal tries to seduce him, but he stays distant. When a cab leaves a bag with about $500,000, Selim faces a bewildering dilemma.
