A humorous adventure story explores the conflict between absolute power and the yearning for freedom, courage, and love. A group of traveling performers arrives on an island ruled by a despotic leader and a strict police force. A misfired cannon shot during their performance sets off a chain of unexpected events, forcing a young man, a young woman, and a helpful seagull to confront the island’s oppressive regime. Their struggle ultimately impacts the lives of all inhabitants, both human and animal.
