Palmer Woodrow, a lazy prep‑school heir, hires street‑wise Eddie Keaton to attend class for him while Palmer parties in Europe. Eddie falls for fellow student Tracey, angering bully Biff. When Eddie’s old bookie, Dice, arrives to collect on gambling debts and Palmer returns early, the scheme collapses. Caught between loyalty and self‑preservation, Eddie can’t tell whose side he’s really on.
