During the early 1970s, a group of Boston secretaries recognized the need for change and began fighting for better working conditions. Their efforts sparked a national movement, a little-known chapter in twentieth-century American history. This story explores the intersection of the women’s and labor movements, highlighting the challenges faced by clerical workers and the lasting impact on women's roles in the workplace. The movement’s strategies and the experiences of these bold women continue to resonate with contemporary issues of income inequality.
