Based on Yojiro Ishizaka’s story, the drama is set in a Christian school in a scenic northern harbor town. Teacher Masaki (Obinata) defends Keiko, a girl born out of wedlock, out of sympathy. His colleague Sumi (Natsukawa), who loves him, opposes his leniency and is shocked by a rumor that Keiko is pregnant with Masaki’s child, raising the tension.
