Bob and Amy grapple with the challenges of adulthood, particularly their differing views on starting a family, which causes friction in their relationship. While renovating a fixer-upper home and caring for a collection of unusual animals, they encounter a group of eccentric neighbors. Among them is a kind-hearted handyman whose presence unexpectedly helps them find common ground, overcome their differences, and embrace a new beginning.
