Set on a sea‑shore, the film opens with a 1954 photograph by Agnès Varda that captures a dead goat, a young boy called Ulysses, and a naked man standing together. From this striking frozen tableau the documentary weaves between fact and fantasy, using the image as a springboard to examine memory, myth and the border between the real and the imagined.
