In 1942, Red Army officer Nikolai Kiselyov is ordered to lead the evacuation of more than 200 Jewish women, children and elderly men threatened with brutal death in Nazi‑occupied Belarus. Exhausted, starving and haunted by the horrors they have endured, the group must march hundreds of kilometres through forested terrain, clinging to the hope of survival and a future free from oppression.
