At seventeen, Jones Dillon forgoes college, renting a room in a boarding house to hone his writing. He becomes entangled with two women—aspiring actress Lisa and photographer Jane. When Jane’s ex‑boyfriend appears to aid her recovery from a car crash, Jones confronts his true feelings and realizes how deeply he cares for Jane.
