Fourteen-year-old best friends Nini and Jameelah navigate the Berlin summer and school holidays. Jameelah’s family, originally from Iraq, faces potential deportation while awaiting approval for citizenship, a worry the girls try to set aside. Their close friendship and shared experiences in the housing complex form the heart of their everyday lives as they confront adolescence and uncertainty.
