Friday night in Toronto’s lower west end, a dinner party in Harry and Carol’s condo drifts over an open balcony while addicts Pretty and Johnny party in the alley below. After guests leave, a wet thud and a scream reveal Carol’s body on the alley floor, prompting Harry’s panic and Officer Peter’s rushed aid.
