Renowned French filmmaker Zac vanishes from his Paris apartment, leaving lover Helene. After eight months, producer Marcus finds him homeless in an upscale district, places him in a luxury hotel, and sends ambitious secretary‑screenwriter Daisy to investigate. Through sharp dialogue and stylized flashbacks, Zac reveals the truth; they decide to turn his story into a film and fall in love, while Marcus deals with Russian mafiosos demanding their money back.
