Harold Lamb is eager to start college, working jobs to earn spending money, practicing cheers and a movie‑inspired self‑introduction he saw on screen. He even rehearses the school chants. When he arrives at Tate University he becomes the target of pranks and ridicule, but Peggy, his only true friend, helps him resolve to do everything he can to become popular.
