Samantha, a diligent modern professional, meets senatorial candidate Frank Carlton by chance and is recruited by the scheming campaign manager Eric to work on the senator‑to‑be’s campaign. She accepts, becoming caught in a tangled web of alliances, where shifting loyalties and agendas destabilize the campaign, leading it to crumble.
