Seven longtime friends devote themselves to pranks and drinking. Bénin is the mastermind, Broudier the enforcer and Lesueur the prankster. Their latest scheme targets the quiet towns of Ambert and Issoire: Broudier, disguised as a minister, raids a barracks at night; Bénin, posing as a Dominican, delivers a blasphemous sermon from the cathedral pulpit; Lesueur brings a statue of Vercingetorix to life, hurling tomatoes at the crowd. Satisfied, they head to the Côte‑d’Or for a vacation, only for a new prank to already be in motion.
