In July 2002, Johnny Johnson was arrested for the abduction and murder of 6-year-old Cassandra Williamson in Valley Park, Missouri. The crime had a lasting impact on the community, and the subsequent capital murder trial was complicated by questions about Johnson's mental health and competency. A juror famously described the act as "the worst possible crime," prompting an exploration of whether such a horrific act warrants the ultimate punishment. The film examines the case and the difficult questions it raises.
