Herman Umgar, a reclusive German who can communicate with worms, is forced off his land by the town mayor. Seeking revenge, he contaminates the townspeople’s food with mutant worms from the Red Tide. Anyone who eats them transforms into a giant worm and becomes Herman’s slave, leaving a handful of survivors to confront the chaos.
