A bleak, unsettling tragedy that follows a middle‑level manager as he grows weary of moral responsibility. Confronted with the pressures of middle age, he begins to reject his own decency, questioning his ethics while his life spirals increasingly out of control. His descent into alienation and despair underscores the story's cold, relentless tone.
