In a parody of trench‑coat detective stories, Daffy Duck plays the hapless gumshoe Duck Drake—self‑styled “Private Eye, Ear, Nose, and Throat.” Summoned by a frantic call, he arrives at the J. Cleaver Axe‑Handle Estate, where a murder is said to have occurred. Drake prowls the mansion, stumbling through slap‑slap comedy to reveal the absurd truth.
