A cautionary fable of greed, danger and renewal, the plot follows a group of thieves who plot to rob the hidden fortune of an eccentric old miser. When he refuses to hand over the combination, they menace the young girl who lives in his building, forcing the miser to confront his own avarice and seek redemption.
