Before Madonna, before Marilyn, there was Josephine. This biography chronicles the African‑American entertainer who rose to fame in Paris cabarets during the 1920s and 1930s. The film traces her beginnings as a struggling performer in 1917 St. Louis, her frustration‑driven move to France, her celebrated career, and follows her life through to her death in 1975. Written by John Sacksteder.
