Set in 1850 Texas, Louise Poindexder, of the Casa del Corvo plantation, loves Maurice Gerald, a mustanger. During their meeting her brother Henry vanishes, and Maurice is found blood‑stained with a struggle on Henry’s cloak, prompting the townsfolk ready a lynching until Headless Horseman appears, halting the mob and changing their fate.
