Peter van Eyck plays Droste, a businessman and former WWII intelligence operative who reunites with his old wartime friend, Baron Von Straub (Christopher Lee), reviving a friendship broken by the war. When Von Straub asks Droste to deliver a small package to a contact in West Germany, the unsuspecting man is drawn into a complex web of espionage.
