Building on his hit series On the Buses, Reg Varney plays Sherry Sheridan, a mediocre holiday‑camp compère and drag performer who believes one break will launch him to stardom. Set at a caravan site, his ambition blinds him to his crumbling marriage. Co‑starring Diana Coupland and Lee Montague, this mid‑70s comedy, written by Emmerdale creator Kevin Laffan from an ITV Playhouse drama, follows Sherry’s frantic chase for fame while trying to keep his job and family.
