At breakfast Pa discovers the honey pot is empty, so he convinces Junyer to join him in a daring raid on a nearby beehive. Their reckless venture puts them in harm’s way as angry bees swarm, and by the end Pa realizes he should have heeded Ma’s warning instead of telling her to “Shaddap!”
