The anime opens with Wendy dreaming of Peter Pan rescuing her and dueling Captain Hook. She and her brothers later travel to Never Never Land, where Wendy assumes the role of caretaker for the Lost Boys. A gentle romance develops between Peter and Wendy as they battle pirates. In the latter half the story diverges from J.M. Barrie’s original plot, introducing Princess Luna, who becomes a pivotal character in the final episodes.
