In a jazzy all‑dialogue comedy‑drama set amid the 1920s sun‑tan craze, Peggy postpones her wedding to Bill while she spends the summer fixing her errant parents and aiding her sister Janet, who is being blackmailed over compromising love letters sent to a cad. Peggy’s friend Roger and his flapper girlfriend Tootie devise a scheme to retrieve the letters and protect Janet’s reputation.
