In autumn 1944 Estonia, thousands flee the advancing front, leaving coastal villages deserted. Eetla, a young woman with striking grey eyes, boards the last boat but then abandons her chance of escape. Braving cold wind and rain, she returns to the lighthouse, confronting her father, keeper Gottfrid, and discovers self‑recognition.
