An eager intern is conscripted into the Army Medical Corps as a low‑ranking private, much to his chagrin. After being wounded he is sent to a military hospital, where a senior Major explains the groundbreaking medical research carried out by army doctors. Inspired, he vows to become a worthy soldier, and his determination grows even more when a nurse is promoted to his commanding officer.
