Mac ‘Bootle Beetle’ recounts, from the ship’s log, that he and Captain Donald Duck were the only survivors of a shipwreck. The beetle felt Donald was unfair, repeatedly taking his rations and using him as live bait on the raft and later on a deserted island. They were eventually rescued and stayed lifelong companions into old age.
