Jody Deakes reunites with his father after years apart, only to learn his dad has joined an outlaw gang pursued by bounty hunter Santee. When Santee kills the gang, Jody’s father dies and the boy seeks revenge, but he soon discovers Santee is a compassionate widower grieving his son’s murder. Santee and his wife take Jody in, forming a father‑son bond, until the gang that killed Santee’s child returns, forcing old wounds to collide. The film, produced by Edward Platt, was among the first shot on videotape and transferred to film.
