Hal LeRoy is hired as a tap instructor at Dawn O’Day’s dance school to give private lessons to the women there. Rumors spread by the manager and some students suggest his classes are more than dance, leading to his dismissal. He opens his own studio in the same building, and Hal and Dawn realize their bond has become deep, not merely professional.
