After winning a photography prize, a photographer plans to use the cash to buy a car, but the postman delivers only a diploma, leaving him without the funds. Mocked by their neighbors, his family reluctantly purchases a second‑hand Buick. The decision becomes a disaster as the vehicle breaks down more often than they can afford to repair.
