Initially creating simple street theater, their performances evolved to explore themes of sex, pornography, and violence. Living on the fringes of society, they found community and support while pushing boundaries through their art. Key figures Genesis P-Orridge and Cosey Fanni Tutti led the group; Cosey's modeling for adult magazines became a conceptual artwork challenging feminism, while Genesis tested physical limits in their performances.
