An officer’s wife experiences a vivid romantic dream involving her husband’s servant and becomes convinced the dream reflects reality. At the same time, the husband enlists that same servant after the war to devise ways to rekindle the love they shared before the conflict and to uncover opportunities for earning money in the challenging post‑war economy.
