From Mitanni princess to Egypt’s famed Queen Nefertiti, Tadushepa’s story opens with a 1912 discovery of her bust by a German archaeologist and flashes back to her impending marriage to the aging Pharaoh Amenhotep III. She parts from her lover, sculptor Yame, and masters court politics. After Amenhotep’s death, she secures the throne for heir Akhenaten.
