She runs, desperate to outrun a burning desire threatening her innocence. Amid student protests, a young man accidentally kills a policeman, is handcuffed, and escapes custody. On a beach he meets a suicidal woman; together they plunge into a passionate, violent affair. The two become entangled in a turbulent love that blurs guilt and redemption.
