A whimsical comedy with fairy‑tale flourishes follows Kate, a passionate, aging woman determined to find a husband. She encounters Mr. Devil, who cares little for her heart or soul and is instead fixated on her exceptional cooking, because the devilish suitor is a glutton. Their unlikely courtship drives the humor.
