Hassan, a working‑class man, and Hanafi, a wealthy rival, vie for Nawaeim’s love. After a painful stomach attack on his wedding night, Hanafi is taken to the hospital, where a surgical error turns him into a woman. He recovers over months, emerging as the plain, mannish Fifi. Formerly brusque, Fifi acts flirtatiously as he tries to rebuild his life.
