In 1978 a $20 million robbery hits a Detroit bank; one thief is captured, another is found dead, and the third vanishes with the loot. Seven years later the captured robber is released, flies to Miami and is murdered the next day. FBI agents Doug Bennet and Steve Forest are assigned to the case, posing as Miami police officers, to hunt down the missing robber who has a seven‑year head start and is still hiding somewhere in Miami with the stolen money.
