Set on a winter day in a province, the film pits innocence against evil. A young teacher secures her first post in a village after six years of waiting, hopeful. A wounded veteran, hospitalized for eight months, now drives a taxi at a sparsely used train station, seeking peace; times threaten hopes until a younger man with other ambitions arrives.
