Set in 1985 New Mexico, former stripper Margo reunites with her long‑lost father, a dying bank robber, in a ghost‑town bar. With the aid of a wandering projectionist, she cares for him until he dies, revealing the location of a buried loot from a failed robbery. Margo and the projectionist find work in town, grow closer, and spend weekends hunting the treasure, which both unites and threatens to pull them apart.
