Set in the underworld of “boosters,” the film follows a smart, charismatic young woman from a fractured family—her mother and grandmother—to the illicit trade of shoplifting. It presents a nuanced, non‑stereotypical view of how troubled family dynamics push her into a criminal career, exploring the consequences when crime finally catches up.
