After his Vietnamese girlfriend disappears, ex-cop and war hero Chet Costa takes a risky job to blow up a border bridge and cut the Vietcong’s supply line. He leads a group of prisoners, but their helicopter is shot down, forcing a trek through jungle. Realizing the mission is suicidal, the men plot to kill their sergeant and escape toward Bangkok.
