After eight years in a mental institution, Roo Marcus turns to bare‑knuckle boxing, taking a job at a gym owned by the brutal Napoleon. Haunted by the trauma of shock treatments and the institution’s cruelty, he leans on his loyal friends Capser and Ratty for support. As Roo climbs the ranks, a savage encounter with one of Napoleon’s fighters leaves him severely battered, testing his resolve.
